Product Description

The GE 8515-BI-PN is a PAC8000 PROFINET Scanner Module with two 10/100Mbps copper interfaces. It is part of the PAC8000 I/O System, a modular I/O solution for both general purpose and hazardous area applications. The PAC8000 I/O System offers a wide variety of I/O functions, and has an open architecture that allows communication with a variety of different field-buses by selecting the appropriate type of Bus Interface Module (BIM) or Controller.

The 8515-BI-PN is designed for use in harsh industrial environments. It has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C and is IP67 rated for dust and water ingress. The module is also vibration and shock resistant, and can withstand harsh chemicals.

The 8515-BI-PN is easy to install and use. It can be mounted on a DIN rail or panel, and field wiring is connected to the module using standard terminal blocks. The module is configured using Proficy Machine Edition software.
